Privacy Statement

Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.zevim.co.uk/.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to aid spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

When uploading images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) in them. Website visitors can download and extract location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to have your name, email address and website stored in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter this information when you leave a new comment. These cookies are valid for one year.

When you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal information and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set some cookies to store your login information and your screen display options. Login cookies remain valid for two days and cookies for screen display options remain valid for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login information will be stored for two weeks. When you log out, the login cookies are deleted.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is stored in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and only displays the message ID of the article you just edited. This cookie expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other Web sites behaves exactly as if the visitor visited the other Web site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we keep your data

When you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This is so we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if applicable), we also retain the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also view and edit that data.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request an export file of the personal information we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us. You may also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where your data will be sent

Comments from visitors can be monitored through an automated spam detection service.
